About the Author

My name is Stephen. I’m twenty-six years old.

The most important thing you need to know about me is that I am a Christian. By that I mean that I have made a decision to follow Christ in faith until the day God takes me home. All that I have belongs to Him, comes from Him, and was made for Him, and so I see it as my unceasing never-quenched pursuit to bring glory to Him, worship Him, and serve Him until that day. He is divine, the Son of God, who came down to earth and exchanged His eternal glory for the form of a man. He lived, was crucified, and resurrected to new life. One day He will come again.

The date is still yet to be determined, but someday – and probably June of 2010 – I will be marrying the girl of my dreams, a beautiful woman of God by the name of Amanda Marie. God has used her to bring much joy and happiness to my life and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her, as long as God has for the both of us together. She is a constant source of encouragement, comfort and smiles for me during the thick and thin times of life.

I’m currently serving at an independent Baptist church in Kirkland, Washington as the Youth Director and have been in this position since January. Before that I have been and continue to be involved actively in the worship team (rhythm guitar) and teaching adult courses for our Christian Education program.

In 2005 I received a bachelors degree from Western Baptist College (Corban College) in biblical studies with an emphasis in theological studies. I then attended Western Seminary in Portland for a year and have now transferred to Northwest Baptist Seminary where I am currently studying for my Master of Ministry and Master of Theological Studies degrees.

I don’t really know exactly where God is leading me in the long run, but I know without a doubt that He has called me into full-time ministry and that whatever ministry He opens for me does and will continue to include teaching, discipleship and administration.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog – I appreciate any comments you have on any of my posts. Please keep all criticism respectful.

Thank you for reading – take care and God bless!

-in HIS strength,
Stephen
